Low-Volume Polyethylene Glycol for Bowel Preparation in Hospitalized Adults : A Multicenter Randomized Trial

A 1-liter (1L) polyethylene glycol (PEG)-ascorbate solution provided superior high-quality bowel cleansing for hospitalized patients undergoing colonoscopy compared to 2-liter (2L) and 4-liter (4L) PEG regimens. This very low-volume preparation achieved similar adequate cleansing rates and high patient willingness to repeat the procedure.
