Abstract:
Lysine is an essential amino acid and must be obtained from external sources. Therefore, establishing the method for Lys detection is of great significance. As the near-infrared fluorescent probe, DBH with aggregation-induced emission characteristics was designed, synthesized and characterized, which it's worth noting that the recognition process features a large Stokes shift of 225 nm. DBH exhibits high selectivity, anti-interference capability, and stability toward lysine. And its LOD toward Lys was low to 0.475 μM. The mechanism between them was investigated through some method to confirm that DBH and lysine interacted with 1:3 stoichiometric ratio. And it's interesting that DBH also achieves specific chiral transduction for D/l-lysine. Furthermore, a portable smartphone was employed for qualitative and quantitative detection of lysine in food samples. DBH has visualized lysine in vivo, indicating its potential value in bioimaging research. Future studies could explore the application of DBH in the analysis of biological fluids.

Protein Dynamics in Living Cells
Fluorescent recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) is a fluorescent-protein-based detection technique used to quantify protein movement rates within the cell. This method exposes a small portion of the cell to an intense laser beam. The laser beam causes permanent photobleaching of the fluorophore-tagged proteins in the exposed region. As the bleached...
