We herein report a direct copper-catalyzed deaminative C(sp3)-N coupling reaction between a wide variety of aliphatic amines and N-heterocycles. Commercially available DPPH was demonstrated to be an effective deaminating reagent, which reacts with amines to in situ generate reactive alkyl radicals. This protocol proceeds under mild reaction conditions and exhibits a broad substrate scope. The success of this reaction provides a novel and practical approach for the direct transformation of aliphatic amines in radical reactions.

Reduction of Alkynes to cis-Alkenes: Catalytic Hydrogenation
Like alkenes, alkynes can be reduced to alkanes in the presence of transition metal catalysts such as Pt, Pd, or Ni. The reaction involves two sequential syn additions of hydrogen via a cis-alkene intermediate.
