  • Comparison of single-dose SRS (12-15 Gy), five-fraction SRS (25 Gy), and conventionally fractionated SRT (50.4 Gy).
  • Propensity score matching was employed to analyze progression-free survival (PFS) and toxicity, including hearing loss and facial palsy.
  • Main Results:

    • Overall lesion control was 89.8% by RECIST 1.1 criteria.
    • No significant difference in PFS was observed between different SRT regimens after propensity score matching (p=0.808).
    • New hearing loss occurred in 14.7% and facial palsy in 3.0% of patients; NF2 was associated with poorer PFS (p=0.002).

    Conclusions:

    • Different LINAC-based SRT regimens demonstrate comparable outcomes in terms of lesion control and toxicity for VS patients.
    • SRT is a flexible and effective treatment modality for VS, even in patients with NF2.
    • Further prospective studies are warranted to confirm these findings.
