Medium cut-off (MCO) dialysis and online hemodiafiltration (OL-HDF) showed similar effects on protein-bound uremic toxins (PBUTs). However, OL-HDF combined with dietary changes significantly reduced indoxyl sulfate levels in hemodialysis patients.
