Three new compounds from the whole herb of Picria fel-terrae

Abstract:
Three new cucurbitane-type triterpene saponins, including picfeloside L (1) and picfeloside M (2), and picfeloside N (3) were isolated from the whole plant of Picria fel-terrae Lour. The structures of compounds 1-3 were established by chemical methods and spectroscopic analysis. Then, they were tested for their cytotoxicity and hepatoprotective activity in in-vitro assays.
