Abstract:
We investigated factors associated with the acceptance of communication robots among formal caregivers in home care. A cross-sectional survey conducted in 2024 included 146 caregivers selected through the Healthcare Market Analysis Platform. Logistic regression analysis examined associations between acceptance and caregivers' demographic and professional characteristics. The acceptance rate was 69.2%, while care workers showed significantly lower acceptance (adjusted OR: 0.28, 95% CI: 0.10-0.78). Their reluctance may stem from concerns about losing human interaction and limited training opportunities. Targeted education, practical workshops, and participatory co-design may be essential to promote ethical and sustainable integration of communication robots in home-based care.
