Abstract:
Alarm fatigue in ICU clinicians increases the risk of missed critical alarms, yet its relationship with alarm load and alarm actionability remains poorly quantified. Matching the CAFQa survey responses with ICU alarm data, we show that higher alarm load is significantly associated with increased clinician-reported alarm fatigue, highlighting the potential of data-driven interventions to improve both patient safety and clinician well-being.
