Abstract:
Digital Health Interventions (DHIs) have the potential for improving healthcare delivery, yet their successful integration depends on user acceptance and involvement. This study investigates the preferences and motivations of citizens regarding their participation in the development and evaluation of DHIs. Using an online survey of 129 participants in Germany, the research examines preferred participation formats, motivating factors, and demographic influences. Results reveal a high interest in engagement through online surveys and app testing, motivated primarily by the desire to tailor digital health tools to user needs. Findings highlight the importance of participatory approaches for enhancing DHI adoption and effectiveness. Recommendations are provided to inform future user-centered design processes.
