This article explores the role of fillet flaps in lower extremity salvage, highlighting their ability to provide durable coverage without additional donor site morbidity. When standard flaps are limited or not recommended, fillet flaps, which are taken from nonviable parts, offer a useful reconstructive alternative. The fillet of foot flap receives particular attention, as demonstrated by a case study involving below-the-knee amputation.
