Abstract:
Interfacial electronic modulation enables the selective electroreduction of CO2 to formate. Ultrasmall CuAu nanoclusters decorated on hierarchically restructured Bi nanoarchitectures induce charge redistribution and optimize stabilization of reaction intermediates. A CuAuNCs/HR-Bi catalyst achieves 94% faradaic efficiency at -0.8 V vs. RHE with enhanced kinetics and 24 h durability.
