Summary

Adding fracture-level screws to short-segment pedicle screw fixation (SPSF) for thoracolumbar burst fractures (TLBFs) improves long-term sagittal alignment and reduces disc degeneration. This technique enhances vertebral height maintenance compared to SPSF alone.
