Abstract:
Heterotopic mouse intestinal transplantation is a valuable model for investigating intestinal tissue injury and host immune responses to intestinal allografts. Here, we present a detailed protocol for heterotopic mouse intestinal transplantation. We describe steps for donor surgery and preparation of an intestinal graft on the back table. We then detail procedures for heterotopic intestinal transplantation, including vascular anastomoses.
