Abstract:
Herein, the first one-pot introduction of variable numbers of diphenylphosphoryl (Ph2PO) groups into the TATA+ framework was achieved via SNAr. Subsequent reduction and quaternization yielded a series of phosphorus-functionalized TATA+ derivatives, whose frontier orbital distributions, energy levels, and photophysical/electrochemical properties were effectively modulated. Notably, [(PMePh2)3-TATA][OTf]4 and [DPPO-TATA][OTf] are efficient catalysts in several oxidative and reductive quenching pathways, respectively, highlighting the potential of these TATA+ derivatives as versatile organic photocatalysts.
