Innovating With 3D Printing to Meet Nursing Education Needs and Improve Clinical Practice and Outcomes
None:
Traditional nursing education relies heavily on commercial torso models, which often lack adaptability and sufficient availability for large-scale training due to high costs. To address these challenges, Nursing Professional Development Specialists (NPDSs) utilized three-dimensional (3D) printing and prototyping to develop models for simulation-based nursing education. (Garcia et al., 2017). This article serves as a case study for NPD Practitioners seeking to leverage 3D printing technology to enhance learning experiences, improve patient outcomes, and facilitate realistic hands-on practice that is cost-efficient.
