None:
Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration (PCD) is a rare, immune mediated disorder associated with occult malignancy, particularly small cell lung cancer, ovarian and breast cancers, and lymphomas. PCD secondary to tonsillar cancer is exceptionally rare and is only reported infrequently within the literature as a few case reports. We report two patients presenting with neurological deficits, who were subsequently diagnosed with paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration secondary to tonsillar cancer. Early recognition of PCD is crucial for improving patient outcomes, and the rarity of the association with tonsillar cancer highlights the need for increased awareness and speedy investigation of patients presenting with these symptoms.
