Objective:
To examine differences in the perception of interprofessional collaboration between outreach-based and non-outreach-based staff in a § 64b SGB V model project psychiatric hospital.
Methods:
A cross-sectional survey was conducted using single items and the GreiFMIE for accessing opinions towards interprofessional collaboration. Group comparisons were performed exploratively using MWU tests.
Results:
Outreach-based staff reported higher values in team atmosphere, collaboration within teams and with external partners, attitudes toward other professional groups, perceived flatter hierarchies, and fewer barriers to interprofessional collaboration, while scores for relevance of interprofessional techniques, communication, and teamwork were comparable between groups.
Conclusion:
Staff perceived the structural conditions of outreach-based settings more favorably. Further studies are required to explore the underlying mechanisms of these differences.
