Low-temperature conditioning of Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS)-modified bitumen waterproofing membranes reveals a significant "surface-to-core" heat transfer lag. The internal interface layer acts as a high-thermal-resistance zone, requiring 10-20 minutes to stabilize temperature.
