Abstract:
Ferulasongs E-I (1-5), five previously undescribed daucane-type sesquiterpenes, were isolated from the roots of Ferula sinkiangensis K.M.Shen. Their structures were unambiguously elucidated on the basis of detailed NMR spectroscopic analysis, HRMS data, and ECD calculations. Compound 2 was established as a unique daucane-type sesquiterpene with an 8,9-epoxy functionality in the scaffold. All the undescribed compounds were screened for their antitumor activities. The results showed that compound 2 exhibited weak inhibition activities against AGS cancer cell, with an IC50 value of 30.33 μM (Taxol: 4.69 μM).
