Mondor's Disease Involving the Posterior Scrotal Vein: A Case Report

Mondor's disease (MD) is a rare, self-limiting thrombophlebitis, which typically affects the breast tissue and the chest wall. We report an exceptional case of a 33-year-old male who presented with a painless, mass-like suprascrotal lesion that mimicked a soft tissue tumor. Although multimodality imaging, such as ultrasonography and CT, of the mass strongly suggested MD, a diagnostic dilemma emerged because of the atypical presentation. Final diagnosis of MD of the posterior scrotal vein was confirmed by pathological examination following surgical excision. This case highlighted the importance of recognizing the characteristic imaging features of MD for accurate differential diagnosis, even in atypical presentations, to prevent potential misdiagnosis.
