[CORAIL Center : Switzerland's first pediatric complex care center]

The management of rare and/or complex conditions, whose prevalence continues to increase, represents a significant challenge for both families and healthcare professionals, with growing needs particularly in terms of care coordination. In response to this issue, a "Complex Care" model has emerged in several countries, mainly in Canada and the United States. The CORAIL Center (Coordination Center for Rare or Complex Conditions in Children and Adolescents), based on this model, was developed in Geneva to address several gaps: to provide comprehensive, personalized care and to support children and their families throughout their care pathways. Patients may be referred by their pediatrician, through intra- or extra-hospital networks, or directly by their families.
