Abstract:
A technique for restoring an endodontically treated tooth with a computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) custom post-and-core systems is described. The presented digital workflow streamlined post space digitization by integrating intraoral and extraoral scanning, enabling the subsequent design and fabrication of custom post-and-cores. The direct-indirect technique can be applied for overcoming challenges associated with digital post space acquisition arising from anatomic or technical limitations.
