Abstract:
Vinyl cyclic carbonates are productive allyl precursors in the generation of functionalized 1,5-dienes featuring a quaternary center using dual Co/organophotoredox catalysis. A bulky N^P^N ligand is key to the exclusive regio- and stereocontrol observed in this formal homocoupling process. Product diversifications highlight the utility of the different functional groups present in the products with respect to site-selective transformations.
