18F-NaF PET/CT Versus 18F-FDG PET/CT for Baseline Mapping in Ollier Disease: A Pediatric Case

Abstract:
Ollier disease is a rare skeletal dysplasia characterized by multifocal enchondromas and a 5%-50% lifetime risk of malignant transformation to chondrosarcoma. Whole-body mapping is essential for surveillance. 18F-FDG PET/CT shows limited sensitivity because of low glycolytic activity and physiologic uptake. This case highlights the superior performance of 18F-NaF PET/CT for osteoblastic lesion detection and anatomic delineation in a pediatric patient with IDH1-mutated Ollier disease.
