Thrombotic Outcomes Associated With Factor Eight Inhibitor Bypassing Activity Use in Neonatal and Infant Cardiac

Factor Eight Inhibitor Bypassing Activity (FEIBA) use did not significantly increase postoperative thrombosis in infants and neonates after cardiac surgery. FEIBA was associated with fewer shunt interventions in Norwood procedure patients.

Conclusions:
- FEIBA use is not associated with a significant increase in postoperative thrombosis in pediatric cardiac surgery patients.
- While a trend towards increased catheter-associated thrombosis was observed in Norwood neonates, shunt thrombosis and intervention rates were not elevated.
