[An anti-oppressive approach to medicine : from clinical history to prescription]

Multiple power dynamics intersect during clinical encounters, potentially contributing to the reproduction of social health inequalities. Drawing on a feminist, intersectional approach, this article critically examines the clinician-patient relationship and medical practice. It outlines six core values - safety, dignity, self-determination, egalitarian relationships, reclaiming agency, and solidarity - to illustrate concrete pathways toward an anti-oppressive medical consultation. This article argues that, as a politically situated institution, medicine can become a space for social transformation, provided that structural inequalities are actively recognized and challenged.
