A Multilayered Gradient Approach to Calcium Hydroxylapatite for Enhanced Full-Face Contouring and Biostimulation
Abstract:
The growing demand for noninvasive facial contouring and soft tissue regeneration has fueled interest in dermal fillers with multipurpose capabilities. Calcium hydroxylapatite combined with carboxymethylcellulose (CaHA-CMC) has gained prominence due to its dual-action properties-serving as both a volumizing filler and a biostimulatory agent. This study introduces a standardized gradient-based protocol for CaHA-CMC, employing varying dilutions to stimulate the biomechanical characteristics of different anatomical layers. Highly concentrated formulations are deposited on the periosteum to mimic-skeletal projection, while hyperdiluted solutions are placed in the subdermal plane to improve skin texture and quality through neocollagenesis. By integrating novel rheological data with practical injection strategies, the protocol offers a layered, adaptable approach to facial rejuvenation that addresses both volume and skin laxity.
