This short communication presents a conceptual redesign of nursing processes, motivated by preliminary observations at a hospital in Athens. Identifying severe inefficiencies and errors caused by manual documentation, we propose theoretical strategies focusing on the digitization of health information systems, electronic medication tracking, and structured patient education. Implementing these digitized, patient-centered models is expected to reduce nursing staff workload, minimize clinical errors, and lower hospital readmissions, ultimately fostering a safer and more efficient healthcare environment.
