This study demonstrates the first use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and subcutaneous insulin infusion (CSII) in an extremely low birth weight infant. This approach successfully managed neonatal hyperglycemia, reducing invasive glucose monitoring and enabling real-time glycemic control.
