Abstract:
This commentary highlights a new study revealing a fungal RNA decoy strategy that interferes with plant microRNA-mediated immune regulation. By blocking key microRNA activity, fungal RNAs reprogram host gene expression and weaken immune responses, thereby enhancing pathogen virulence and disease susceptibility in rice.
