Abstract:
Currently, the choice of an adequate volume and type of surgical intervention on the frontal sinuses remains a pressing problem in otolaryngology, which is associated with the risk of intraoperative damage to surrounding anatomical structures, the imperfection of existing surgical approaches and the lack of medical equipment. Despite the fact that endonasal frontotomy is the gentlest surgical method for treating frontal sinus pathology, in some cases rhinosurgeons resort to more traditional approaches. A search and analysis of modern scientific publications from publicly available information resources was conducted, including review articles, original research, monographs, observations of clinical cases, and textbooks from domestic and foreign authors.
