Abstract:
Atomically dispersed Ru catalysts (Ru(AD)-Cu-CeOz) were prepared by dispersing Ru species atomically on the surface of Cu-containing ceria. The Ru(AD)-Cu-CeOz catalysts (Ru/Ce molar ratio = 0.0078) exhibited markedly high catalytic performances in the ammoxidation of aliphatic alcohols, which was not selective on a Ru(NC)-Cu-CeOz catalyst with Ru nanoclusters. The incorporation of atomically dispersed Ru species was key for achieving the selective ammoxidation of 1-octanol, and the atomically dispersed Ru species was found to be stable under the identical ammoxidation conditions.
