Abstract:
Herein, we report a [5+5] cross-annulation of two site-selective bonding-generated intermediates for facile access to fully substituted 1,7-naphthyridine derivatives mediated by I2 and DMSO. This protocol enables the inert C(sp3)-H bond activation of 3-aminocrotonates via dual-factor regulation of I2 loading and reaction temperature, affording two types of fully substituted naphthyridine derivatives. Furthermore, the as-synthesized 1,7-naphthyridine derivatives exhibit obvious aggregation-induced emission (AIE) behavior, endowing them with promising potential for optical material applications.
