Summary

Different calorie-restricted diets, including ketogenic diets (KD) and intermittent fasting, did not significantly alter resting energy expenditure (REE) trajectories in individuals with obesity over three months. Body weight and sex were stronger predictors of REE than the specific dietary strategy.
