Abstract:
A Pt-loaded sulfate-intercalated α-Ni(OH)2 catalyst was developed for efficient alkaline hydrogen evolution with ultra low Pt usage. The optimized catalyst exhibited a 12.1 mV overpotential at 10 mA cm-2, superior stability over 150 h, accelerated hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) kinetics, and excellent performance in urea-assisted water electrolysis.
