Developing low-cost carbon-based electrocatalysts - as alternatives to Pt - supports scalable hydrogen production through water electrolysis. The as-prepared MoS2-CZ67 hybrid demonstrates improved HER performance in 1.0 M HClO4, featuring a low overpotential (∼250 mV), efficient charge transfer, and good performance stability, enabled by synergistic interactions between its active sites within the porous carbon framework.
