A Case of Intralobar Pulmonary Sequestration in Situs Inversus Totalis

Pulmonary sequestration is a rare congenital malformation of the lower respiratory tract, while situs inversus totalis-characterized by complete transposition of the thoracic and abdominal viscera-represents an equally uncommon developmental anomaly. We report a case of multiple intralobar pulmonary sequestration coexisting with situs inversus totalis in a patient who presented to the emergency department with acute onset haemoptysis. The perioperative management was notably challenging due to the presence of an aberrant feeding artery and the atypical anatomical orientation of the lesions. The patient was successfully managed through a combined approach of percutaneous embolization followed by video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.
