Abstract:
A phytochemistry investigation of Hypericum subalatum resulted in the isolation and structural elucidation of ten polycyclic polyprenylated acylphloroglucinols (PPAPs), including four previously undescribed derivatives. Among these, compounds 1 and 2 represent the first examples of PPAPs characterized by having a monoprenyl group at C-3 and a cyclic moiety at C-5. Their structures were unequivocally determined by comprehensive spectroscopic data analysis, including HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR, X-ray single-crystal diffraction, and ECD calculations. Furthermore, evaluated of the available compounds (1-3, 5, 6, 8 and 10) in an LPS-stimulated BV-2 microglial revealed that compounds 3 and 8 possess anti-neuroinflammatory potential at the indicated concentrations.
