Summary

Immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy can cause colitis. In a patient with metastatic melanoma, cytomegalovirus (CMV) co-infection was identified as a cause of refractory ICI-associated colitis, leading to improved outcomes with ganciclovir treatment.
