Abstract:
The conversion between a polyoxovanadate-organic cage and its triply interlocked [2]catenane can be deliberately controlled by varying the concentration of building blocks under solvothermal conditions. ESI-MS results revealed that the concentration-induced interlocking phenomenon occurs abruptly at a critical concentration of 16.7 mM (based on organic ligands) instead of a more progressive shift.
