Summary
Transcatheter tricuspid valve edge-to-edge repair (TV TEER) can be challenging due to anatomical variations like a prominent Eustachian ridge. A transjugular approach offers a viable alternative for successful TV TEER in complex cases.
Area of Science:
- Cardiology
- Interventional Cardiology
- Cardiac Surgery
Background:
- Transcatheter tricuspid valve edge-to-edge repair (TV TEER) is an effective treatment for severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR) in high-risk patients.
- Successful TV TEER relies on optimal device trajectory and coaxial alignment.
- Anatomical challenges can impede procedural success.
