Abstract:
L-Dopa-asparagine-derived carbon dots (DACDs) were developed for the preferential diagnosis and targeted therapy of melanoma. DACD exhibited ∼2.8-fold and clioquinol (FIH-1 inhibitor)-loaded DACD exhibited ∼3.3-fold greater cytotoxicity towards B16F10 than NIH3T3 cells via enhanced hypoxia and ROS-induced apoptosis during the conversion of L-dopa to melanin.
