Divided stimulus control depends on global, but not local, reinforcement contingencies

Divided stimulus control in pigeons did not mirror choice behavior at local levels. Instead, overall reinforcer probabilities, not immediate ones, determined stimulus control, especially when stimuli were easily distinguishable.
