Abstract:
Increasing silanol density in mesoporous silica through acid treatment enabled precise control over the coordination environment of Ti-oxo species. The resulting silanol-rich structure was successfully confined to stabilize a tetrahedral amorphous titania within mesopores, suppressing crystallization even after calcination at 1000 °C and enhancing UV absorption.
