Abstract:
Minimally invasive endoscopic and robot-assisted mastectomy are emerging alternatives to conventional open mastectomy. Current evidence indicates comparable oncological safety and potential benefits in scar length, cosmetic outcomes, and selected complication rates, although procedures are associated with longer operating time, greater technical complexity, and higher resource demands. For carefully selected patients, this review finds that these techniques may represent a relevant supplementary option in Danish breast surgery.
