Abstract:
We report a case of a gunshot wound resulting in a condylar fracture with foreign bodies present in both the condyle and the masseteric space. Utilizing the 'single-incision, double-channel' approach proposed in our previous study, we successfully removed the foreign bodies under navigation guidance, achieving reduction and internal fixation of the condylar fracture with direct visualization, without the need for an additional approach or incision extension. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first reported case in which navigation-assisted single-incision surgery has been used to simultaneously achieve reduction and fixation of a condylar fracture and the removal of foreign bodies from the condyle and the masseteric space.
