The combination of second near-infrared window (NIR-II) fluorescence imaging and high-resolution computed tomography (CT) provides complementary information for the diagnosis, progression, and prognosis of clinical conditions. Ag2Te quantum dots (QDs) are promising CT/NIR-II fluorescence dual-modal imaging probes due to their high atomic number and excellent fluorescence performance. Herein, we describe the synthesis, characterization, and evaluation of the biocompatibility of Ag2Te QDs in vitro and in vivo for CT/NIR-II fluorescence dual-modal imaging.
