Semaglutide shows promise for treating metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) and steatohepatitis (MASH), improving liver fat and some fibrosis markers. Further research with larger trials is needed to confirm these benefits in MAFLD/MASH patients.
