Surgical stabilization of rib fractures (SSRF) significantly reduces hospital stay, ICU duration, and pain compared to nonoperative management for multiple rib fractures. This approach improves functional recovery and reduces chronic complications, offering a better outcome for patients with severe chest trauma.
