High-dimensional energetic metal-organic frameworks (EMOFs) and nitrogen-rich fused-ring ligands are attractive platforms for primary explosives because they can combine improved stability, a favorable energy-safety balance, and tunable laser responsiveness. In this work, two Ag(I) compounds based on 6-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b][1,2,4,5]tetrazin-3-amine (AMPTTz), namely compound 1, [Ag(AMPTTz)NO3]n and compound 2 [Ag2(AMPTTz)2(ClO4)2]n were synthesized by a facile room-temperature evaporation method. Anion modulation increased the structural dimensionality: compound 2 forms a 2D framework, whereas compound 1 adopts a 1D coordination polymer. Both compounds show dense, solvent-free packing (2.076 and 1.966 g·cm-3) stabilized by multiple coordination and hydrogen-bonding interactions. Notably, 2D compound 2 exhibits improved thermal stability, lower mechanical sensitivity, and superior energetic performance compared with compound 1. Laser initiation and detonation tests confirmed their explosive performance, indicating a feasible strategy for designing high-performance, laser-responsive primary explosives.
